Genealogical Symbols and Common Abbreviations

When you work with Danish publications, official documents and other sources in connection with family history you will usually encounter several abbreviations and a few symbols, some of which is more or less obvious. This list includes the most common abbreviations found in published sources and is an addition to the Danish-English genealogical word list / glossary.
